Winter 2025–26 | 25-10-14 to 26-01-27
Lecturer: Kim Albrecht
Open project studio for information design
Every Tuesday from 2 to 5 p.m., Room 3.07
The Information Design Open Studio is a platform for developing your own projects in the field of information design. The course is aimed at anyone who wants to implement an individual project, expand on previous work, or engage with the field creatively and theoretically.
There are various ways to participate:
- The experiments from the workshop “My AI is Better Than Yours” can be further developed here and expanded into a comprehensive semester project.
- Participants can contribute their own ideas, questions, or topics and work on them individually or collaboratively in projects during the course.
- Graduating students can present their current projects and receive feedback.
- Those who wish to graduate in the coming semester can develop and structure an exposé in the course.
The course is accompanied by weekly project presentations, feedback rounds, and short inputs. Each participant also gives a short presentation on a studio, a work, or a personality from the field of information design in order to gain an overview of the diverse approaches in the field. The program is complemented by a joint excursion to the ZKM Karlsruhe, one of the world's leading centers for media art.
